On Friday, a report released by GlobalData, a leading data analytics company, revealed that with advancements in medical technology, new diagnostic tools are emerging to facilitate early and accurate detection of Alzheimer’s disease.

According to the report, some of the most prominent advances in early Alzheimer’s detection are the development of blood-based biomarker tests such as the recently introduced AD-detect blood test, amyloid beta biomarkers, tau protein biomarkers, and neurofilament light (NfL) biomarkers.

These novel tests detect specific biomarkers associated with Alzheimer’s through a non-invasive method. The report noted that leading pharmaceutical companies and research institutes are testing these tests to evaluate their effectiveness.

The promising results show great potential for improving early diagnosis and intervention strategies for neurogenerative diseases. The month of June is designated as Alzheimer’s and brain awareness month. The aim is to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s disease and brain health and support individuals and families affected by this condition.
